Here's a short list of reasons why your website has vanished and what you can do to get it back on Google:
- Access Issues
- Inaccurate code in your Robots.txt File
- Crawling Errors
- Website Not in Compliance with Google Webmaster Guidelines
- Violation of Webmaster Guidelines
- Hidden text on you website
Search Google for "How to submit Reconsideration Request" which will tell you what actions might have led to any penalties, and what corrective actions have been taken. If you used a search engine optimization (SEO) company, please note that. Describing the SEO firm and their actions is a helpful indication of good faith that may assist in evaluation of reconsideration requests. If recently registered a domain and think it may have violated the guidelines before you owned it, let Google know about it. Generally speaking, websites that directly profit from traffic (e.g. search engine optimizers, affiliate and reseller programs, email promotions.) may need to provide more evidence of good faith before a site will be reconsidered.
